The Gold one is gold vermeil which is a 925 sterling silver base with 3 microns of 18k gold plating. This is a very heavy plating meant to be worn daily & loved to last a long time! I know I usually work with gold filled but do not fear gold vermeil is just as sturdy and quality :)

I like to wear mine 24/7 and as I am a swimmer and it is worn in chlorine nearly everyday and lasts about 6 months for me when the silver starts to peak though buts lasts about 2 years for me of daily wear until it is fully silver.
